Happy Thanksgiving

Dear Friends:
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! I hope you all have a happy and healthy Thanksgiving and that you are blessed to eat so much turkey, gravy, stuffing, and delicious side dishes that you will be ready to burst. :)
As we all think of how grateful we are this Thanksgiving, I wanted to share that my greatest blessing is my son... I always tell him that he is the best son in the whole world because I want him to always know how much I appreciate him every day. And how grateful I am that the good Lord has blessed me with giving birth to this wonderful, loving, generous child. (He had his 21st birthday recently, so he's certainly not a child anymore -- I will do a post soon with some photos!)
I also wanted to include this poem below that my cousin, Veronica, sent me. She has been so good to me over the years. Veronica, and her husband & sons, are a true blessing to me.
When I read this poem, I also include appreciating YOU, all of my blogging friends. I am grateful for your friendship and your visits to my blog, and for your kind and wonderful comments. God bless all of you and have a wonderful holiday!
Best,
Gloria

I’m Thankful for You
Thanksgiving is the appointed time for focusing on the good in our lives.

In each of our days, we can find small blessings, but too often we overlook them, choosing instead to spend our time paying attention to problems.

We give our energy to those who cause us trouble, instead of those who bring peace.

Starting now, let’s be on the lookout for the bits of pleasure in each hour, and appreciate the people who bring love and light to everyone who is blessed to know them.

You are one of those people.

On Thanksgiving, I’m thankful for you.

Happy Thanksgiving!

  12. Dearest Gloria,

Happy Thanksgiving to you as well. We all have lots to be thankful for... I did a post today about the origin of Thanksgiving by the Pilgrims that came from Leiden, The Netherlands, my birth country.

  17. What a pretty poem from your cousin, she is very talented, indeed. I'm sure you had an amazing Thanksgiving with your beautiful family, handsome sons and adorable little grand! Thanks dear Gloria for your lovely visit and generous comments and yes, the grandgirls do all they want, my house right now, it's not in ship shape, they're all over dropping Barbies and their tiny accessories, littlest pet shops, hair bows, socks, sweaters, and their toy Chihuahua Chloe, goodness me!!LOL....Our family room, or den, looks just like when we had our own little girls in the 80's!...oh well, I'll worry about it tomorrow! (like Scarlett). FABBY

  18. LOL! I am answering you, Fabby, here -- and I will copy this and send it to you in an email too... Unfortunately, I think you have me confused with someone else! I only have one son, although sometimes he seems like two sons: the 'good' son when he's nice, and the 'naughty' son when he is NOT so nice! ;)
And no grandchild yet, I don't think I'm ready for one, and I don't think my son is ready either, since he's only 21. :)
I am happy, however, that YOU are such a good grandmom and let all the Barbies and their accessories, and everything else get all over the place! The grand-girls will remember the good times, not the mess... and so will you.

  19. Oh my God, how did this happen. lol!! I did think you had two handsome sons...ok, so you got just ONE TERRIFIC ONE! Oh, and yes, he looks like his pretty mama too! Another thing, yeah, don't marry him yet, his only 21!! Thanks for your lovely visit and I'm sorry, I just saw those lovely pics on your side bar and assumed to fast. lol!!
    Love, FABBY
