Greetings!

Hello, all. I wanted to do a quick new post because I would occasionally look at my blog these past few days and I was tired of seeing the same old post... I have been sick with a summer flu -- and I still do not feel very well. This won't be a long post, I will just add this picture below to at least give you something nice at which to look and tell you this little story. This is a picture I borrowed from another blog -- it is a picture from the rooftop of an apartment building on Manhattan Avenue in Brooklyn, New York. This pic is of the corner of Manhattan Avenue and Huron Street. When I was little, I lived on Manhattan Avenue, between India and Huron, and this picture might have even been taken from the rooftop of my old apartment building! I lived on the 4th floor. I lived there for the first 9 years of my life. Then my mother and father and I moved to another apartment around the corner. See that tall building all the way on the left in the background of the photo? That's the Empire State Building. I, unfortunately, didn't see that out of our apartment window. I guess we would have had to go on the roof for that! And on the right, if you look closely, that slanted top building is the Citicorp building on Lexington and 53rd. I used to work in that building for an investment banking company when I was in my early 20's. I really miss my old Brooklyn neighborhood. I hear that it is now really "up and coming" for yuppies and artists and the like, since it is so close to Manhattan. Well, I hope you enjoyed the view!

Best,
Gloria
