REVENGE

Hello to all of you visiting here! I was supposed to do a post on food photos (as I mentioned in my previous post) but I saw something to remind me that I wanted to do a post on ABC's show: REVENGE for quite a while. Anyway, to continue! REVENGE: It's on Wednesday nights, at 9:00 PM (8/Central). Oh my word, this is the BEST SHOW. If you haven't seen it, try to catch up on it. It's a show that when the episode ends, you say to yourself: "Oh, that was SO good, I can't wait for next week." Please, trust me on this. Seriously, as the episode is ending, and you look at the clock and see the show has five minutes left, you say: "Oh man! This show is SO GOOD!" ...you don't want it to end. (And THAT usually, is the time when my son decides to walk into the house from being out, or walk out of his room after being in there for God knows how long, and wants to tell me a story, and I am a MEAN mother and I say: "God, WHY do you come in at the last five minutes of a show????!!!" Yes, I am a MEAN mother! Or maybe some of you also experience this?! It just always seems that he has some 'profound' thing to say five minutes before the end of ANY show! OK, yeah, I'm rotten. I guess I should listen to my son before a stupid show!)

Emily Thorne (Emily VanCamp) comes to the Hamptons for the summer, renting a home next to the Grayson family to enjoy a bright summer. However, it's clear Emily has been to the Hamptons before as a little girl. In reality, Emily is Amanda Clarke, whose father was framed for a crime he didn't commit and sent to prison for life. She was permanently separated from him and never saw him again. Now, she's returned to the Hamptons, intent on getting revenge against those who wronged her and her father, the top of that list being Victoria Grayson (Madeleine Stowe), matriarch of the Grayson family and the woman who her father loved and who, in the end, betrayed him. As Emily sets her plan (for "REVENGE") in motion, Emily tries to navigate the upper society to destroy those who betrayed her father. Oh, good Lord, this actor, Gabriel Mann, is THE BEST. I cannot understand, for the life of me, why he is not more spoken about in the acting world. Well, maybe he IS, but I just miss it. But I DO think he deserves some Emmy or SOMETHING. He is a very talented actor. I LOVE him in the show and, if not for him, I truly don't think the show would be as great. He's supposed to be gay in the show, I don't know if he is in real life. I actually "googled" to see if he was gay or straight, and I was actually happy to see that he's kind of an enigma... I didn't really investigate far... the info given was questionable, as to whether he was gay or not. To me, that means he is a GREAT actor if one cannot tell. Don't you agree?? Plus, it really doesn't matter anyway. I guess I am just a curious fan. If he is gay, I love him; if he is straight, I love him; but he wouldn't want me anyway if he were straight... I think I'm too old for him. Well, I'm SURE I'm too old for him. BUT, if I weren't a little too old for him, I am SURE he would want to date me. ;)

Lilybets lives in Malta, and she is one of the loveliest people that I have met in my 'blog travels.' She is very kind, loving and is good to animals!! (I know she will visit here and will smile when she reads that!) The next two photos are what Lilybets so generously and lovingly mailed to me from Malta. I will always treasure them...

I am also including a photo of this "G" below -- it is a special Christmas tree decoration that one of my very absolute favorite blogger friends sent to me last year, among a few other things. I will not name her, she is "quite shy" and wouldn't want me to give her any praises! But I must say that to get something like this (and the other decorations I received, of course), I feel are the most special things that one can get because one will ALWAYS remember the person, and the story of how they received what was sent, every time these mementos are taken out for the holiday every year. Isn't that the most precious thing for each of us to have when looking at our decorations? To pick something up, as we decorate, and look at it and remember the person and the circumstance of receiving it? I think that's one of the BEST parts of the holidays!
To leave you with one last photo, here's my house the night before last, when it started to snow... my son took the pic -- this is his "thing" with taking a photo with the 's-t-r-e-t-c-h' of light. I think he is quite talented. But, then again, I'm his mother. ;)

Happy Martin Luther King, Jr. Day to all. This is just a short post today, because I do not think that I can add anything to a statement more profound than Dr. King had made in the one noted below. Times are tough these days... for many of us...
Therefore, even though Dr. King gave many inspiring quotes for us to cherish, this one below might inspire a lot of us to hold on in times of stress and bad economy these days.

Many thanks to Dr. King for his wisdom, which we are appreciating even today, so many years after his passing. Again, Happy Martin Luther King, Jr. Day to all!

Happy Holidays! Only a few more days and Christmas will be here. Is everyone ready??
I wish I could that I were, but I'm still working at it. :)
But I figure that whatever I don't get done is ok... little baby Jesus was born in a lowly manger, so as long as I celebrate His birth with love, I don't think He will mind if everything isn't perfect around here!

Happy Holidays! I thought I would take some photos of my kitchen Christmas decorations. Hope you like the photos -- they came out in different "hues" so I figured I'd include them as they came out. Some of them look prettier than others!

Oh, and the little red house was made for me as a gift from Caroline from the "Shop Cinderella Moments" blog. She also made the clothespins that you will see in the photos below. (Visit her shop on Etsy - "Cinderella Moments." She has beautiful things, especially her doll houses.)

Here's beautiful clothespins again made by Caroline @ Etsy/Cinderella Moments -- and adorable little mini mittens, which I purchased from another Etsy shop (Etsy/ArtbyAna). Aren't they the cutest things??
